Happy Holidays From The Boathouse

December 2008 is in full swing and with Winter rapidly approaching the Crew of Jollyboat is snug in our bunks at the Boathouse. The second half of Fall has brought in uncommonly cold weather for Western Long Island Sound - but we will take what we get and we will like it. The Triton 466 Jollyboat Blog page has been sadly neglected for the better part of the year but with so much to do and so little time to do "it" in the blog time seemed a place for time budget slashing. With that said, I hope to spend more on these pages as forward progress in the last 12 months has at least granted me tempory shore leave to enjoy as I please.
The picture of JOLLYBOAT with her mainsail up while at her mooring in the Five Mile River, in Rowayton, Connecticut is the same sail that I currently selling on the Plastic Classic Forum Classified Listings. The sail is basically new albeit having seen several sails on JOLLYBOAT this past summer. The headsail is radial built sail and have since built a radial cut main sail to match and so am selling the cross cut main sail. This is an excellent sail and will make some lucky Triton sailor pleased as punch. Good Sailing - BPG

These are drawings of the USS KIDD, The KIDD also adopted and proudly flew the Skull & Crossed Bones as it's private signal. The KIDD is the only US NAVEL vessel that the US Admiralty gave permission to fly this otherwise forbidden flag.

JOLLYBOATS New Old Engine

This is the Universal Atomic Four that is being install in JOLLYBOAT this spring. In the picture the engine is shown just before the process of it's being removed from another Triton. Picture courtesy of Lackey Sailing, LCC

Greetings From The Boathouse

We are experiencing some of winters coldest weather but are none the worse for the wear. At the time of this writing it is 20 degrees outside with decreasing tempatures. JOLLYBOAT is safe in her slip but with the cool weather will be checked in the morning to be sure all is well.
